Abstract: | The availability of a two-chip GPS with spare CPU time and I/O ports, and low-cost wireless-modem modules, offers the possibility to combine the two, with no additional hardware other than power management. The connection between the GPS CPU and the modem is simply RS232 pins... all addi-tional work above the GPS software supplied by ST, and the customised I/O software supplied by SiGEM, is the software for power mode selection to meet user needs. |
