Abstract: | Several applications and services have been found around GNSSs for the last years, and a lot of ideas are under development. Nowadays studies are focused to technology theoretical or practical, but here we are intending to give a managing airport and its consequences different point of view, from the actual situation where specific conditions of limited resources, the seasonal nature and the charter typology of passenger’s traffic are present. Then we analyze the possible benefits of a scenario based on GNSS systems in order to detect the principal actions that will affect airport operating, air traffic management, air authorities, and industries related to information technology and communications. One of the most important conclusions here given is the great amount of investments that could be avoided specially in expensive airport infrastructures. |
