Abstract: Direct acquisition of GPS P(Y)-code offers a higher level of tolerance to jamming and spoofing than C/A code. When the C/A code is jammed, spoofed, or otherwise disabled, direct acquisition of P(Y) code (i.e., without C/A Direct acquisition of GPS P(Y)-code offers a higher level of tolerance to jamming and spoofing than C/A code. When the C/A code is jammed, spoofed, or otherwise disabled, direct acquisition of P(Y) code (i.e., without C/A phase distortion introduced by a jamming suppression insertion than a time-domain correlation approach. Finally, both spectral weighting and excision methods are demonstrated through simulations in the presence of multiple sinusoidal and narrowband jammers and their mixtures.
