Wide Area DGPS Integrity Architecture

Tysen Mueller, John Jubin and Art Stone

Abstract: This paper summarizes an integrity architecture for wide area DGPS {WADGPS) networks. This architecture is characterized by a robust three-tier approach to assure that the WADGPS corrections have satisfied all integrity criteria before they are broadcast to the user. Also, a summary is presented showing how this architecture responds to different types of failures as well as off-nominal external conditions, such as local tropospheric or ionospheric storms.
