Gnss-1 Performance Specification and Validation for Civil Aviation

Abstract:	EUROCONTROL has initiated a project to validate the performance of GNSS in the operational environment. As a first step in the definition of a validation programme the paper proposes a consistent set of definitions for the RNP parameters based on which a set of Signal-in-Space re-quirements for GNSS-1 in the European region is proposed. Thereafter, the proposed structure of validation programme is discussed and a first assessment is made of validation methods to be applied.
