Abstract: | The objective of a carrier phase based Regional Area Differential GPS (RADGPS) system is to provide decimeter-level positioning accuracy in a range of a few hundreds of kilometers using a reference network located in a regional area of interest. The success of using such a RADGPS system, however, lies in the correct ambiguity resolution for the RADGPS network and the error modeling at mobile stations. In this paper, a new algorithm of RADGPS network ambiguity resolution has been proposed with an improved performance through incorporating multiple days of data. The focus of the new method is to eliminate various GPS error sources from ionosphere, troposphere, orbits and multipath, taking into account of the day-to-day correlation of these error sources. The preliminary testing results have indicated that the proposed method does improve the network ambiguity resolution. |
