A Low Cost, Unclassified, Direct-Y Code Fast Acquisition SAASM

Abstract:	Software Technology and System, Inc. (STS) and Alliant Techsystems (ATK) have teamed to develop a low-cost SAASM for military applications. The unit provides fast, direct-Y code acquisition, even in a jammed envi-ronment, and produces unclassified, SA-corrected output measurements for use in a tightly-coupled integration. The SAASM has been hardened to meet the high-G shock of gun-fired applications, as well as to meet the other environmental requirements of military applica-tions.
