Ionosphere Effect and Modeling for Regional Area Differential GPS Network

Yang Gao, Zuofa Li

Abstract: This paper investigates the regional double difference ionosphere effects and differential ionosphere correction modeling for Regional Area Differential GPS (RADGPS) networks. An ionosphere correction algorithm has been described in this paper which has used both differential distance and elevation parameters, defined on a single-layer ionosphere shell, to model the spatial correlation of regional differential ionosphere delays. Numerical results based on a regional deformation monitoring network have been presented to analyze the differential ionosphere effects and to evaluate the accuracy of differential ionosphere corrections derived using the proposed algorithm.
