Techniques for Improving Antijamming Performance of Civil GPS/GLONASS Receivers

Abstract: The use of combined GPS/GLONASS receivers (compared to of GPS-only receivers) gives several benefits to navigation and geodesy. At the same time, combined receivers can have, in some cases, less jam immunity than GPS-only receivers. This article highlights some peculiarities of combined GPS/GLONASS receivers and presents some relatively simple methods to improve their jamming immunity by a careful design of the RF part, A/D converter and channel algorithms.
