Abstract: | This paper addresses applications of the GLONASS /GPS satellite navigation systems for aerospace navigation. The paper presents mathematical models that permit highly accurate calculation of GLONASWGPS satellite ephemeris. The models presented are: a model for calculating motion of the mass center, a model for calculating motion of the measuring stations, and a model for the laser range finding channel. The paper also describes the software for these models, and gives the results calculations for the satellite ETALON. In addition, the report also addresses an approach to analysis of navigation accuracy for the satellite “METEOR3M”, based on use of on-board GLONASWGPS receivers. It describes the aspects of navigation of this satellite, presents an accuracy model for estimating satellite position, and shows the results of orbit determination for three time periods. Finally, the paper discusses future GLONASWGPS applications, such as for space station “MIR” rendezvous and docking, as well as determination of the space station’s angular position using GLONASWGPS receivers; navigation of small aircraft and moving objects; resolving route planning issues based on navigational information, etc. |
