Abstract: | In this paper we discuss various aspects of the process by which troposphere delay is being estimated from GPS data. In order to evaluate various estimation strategies for the troposphere delay we have performed experiments where GPS-based estimates of wet troposphere delay ate compared with those obtained from a collocated Water Vapor Radiometer (WVR). We demonstrate that the recovery of troposphere delay from GPS data is sensitive to the temporal modeling of the troposphere, the elevation angle cutoff values and the GPS yaw attitude mismodeling. Certain estimation strategies am recommended in order to achieve the highest possible accuracy in the retrieval of troposphere delay. |
