B. Tiemeyer, A. Watt, N. Bondarenco

Abstract: This paper reports on the status of the EUROCONTROL Flight Trial Programme SAPPHIRE (satellite & Aircraft Database erogramme for System integrity &search). The objective of this programme is to develop a statistically representative database of regular GNSS and other navigation sensor measurements to investigate system integrity, availability and continuity of service aspects in order to contribute to the GNSS certification process. Data are recorded using dedicated equipment installed onboard LUFTHANSA Airbus A34O/A321, CROSSAIR Saab 2000 and later on BRITISH AIRWAYS B747-400 aircraft.
