The GNSS-200 Features and Performance of the Fully Integrated Single Frequency, 12 Channel, C/A Code GPS/GLONASS Receiver

Gunter Heinrichs, Siegfried Gotz

Abstract: GLONASS is becoming increasingly important in forming an inalienable element, together with GPS, in the Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS. The combined use of GPS and GLONASS offers many advantages compared with GPS- or GLONASS-only use. This paper describes the MAN Technologie GNSS-200 satellite navigation receiver which is the fust commercially available combined GPSGLONASS system. The GNSS-200 is a twelve parallel chmel, single frequency, C/A code integrated GPYGLONASS receiver. Each charnel can be assigned to any GPS or GLONASS satellite in view to provide continuous code and carrier-phase measurements for each tracked satellite as well as position, velocity, acceleration and time solutions. The receiver can be operated in a navigation mode and/or in a time transfer mode. With additional software, the receiver can be used as a differential reference station for both GPS and GLONASS as it accepts differential corrections of both GPS and GLONASS The features and the performance of the receiver, including mixed processing of GLONASS CIA code and GPS CIA code measurements as well as differential applications are presented.
