Starwatch: An Off-the-Shelf GPS Asset Location System

Abstract:	StarWatch is a New GPS Asset Location Product of Advanced Research Corporation. It is an off-the-shelf global tracking system, that is low-cost and easy to install. Using the new OREKOMM communications satellite network and cellular communications, the StarWatch system provides unique solutions for rural and remote tracking and messaging. This paper discusses StarWatch features, including principles of operation, communication means and ORBCOMM features, and how StarWatch benefits users and providers of vehicle and asset tracking systems.
