Abstract: | For use on railways the "RADIOCOMPASS" system has been developed. The navigation package consists of a GPS/EGNOS receiver, an inertial measurement unit, external sensor interfaces and sophisticated Kalman filter and integrity software. With the prototype several static and dynamic tests have already been executed. An application test on a locomotive will be executed during fall 2002. This paper presents the technical solution developed for the RADIOCOMPASS on railways. The integrity concept will be outlined and the decision tree will be explained. Test results of the pre-tests will be shown. |
