Abstract: This paper presents a novel approach to designing a multi-frequency array for reference stations, addressing the critical issue of multipath by incorporating multi-band vertical choke rings and mitigating interference through the use of multiple antenna elements. The results of the electromagnetic characterization and GNSS field tests unequivocally demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed antenna with choke rings in suppressing multipath effects. Specifically, the antenna achieved an FBR of greater than 30 dB, indicating excellent suppression of backlobe radiation, and RMS multipath errors of less than 0.2 m from zenith to horizon in open fields, demonstrating its ability to provide accurate and reliable positioning data.
