Abstract: | Satellite orbit and clock information of navigation satellite system are provided to users by navigation message. Generating this information is one of main roles of ground segment. Master control station in the segment generates them based on the predicted satellite orbit and clock. In this study, we analyzed potential performance of Korean regional navigation satellite system based on the prediction results from extended Kalman filter as previous works mainly focused on the estimation results only without prediction. We assessed performance of navigation message by considering the SIS URE from the predicted satellite orbit and clock with different prediction time. We simulated the orbit and clock determination for navigation message with 3 GEO, 4 IGSO navigation satellites and 18 monitor stations based on extended Kalman filter with smoothed ionosphere-free pseudorange measurements. From simulation results, prediction errors of satellite 3D orbit and clock were in level of < 0.5 m and < 2 m for prediction time of 6 and 24 hours respectively. Combining the predicted satellite orbit and clock results, RMS global statistic SIS URE were analyzed. RMS global statistic SIS UREs were in level of < 0.5 m and < 1 m for over all prediction time of 6 and 24 hours. |
