Abstract: | Precise point positioning (PPP) is a high-precision global navigation satellite system (GNSS) positioning technology. The convergence time to obtain sufficient positioning accuracy from the start of positioning and the accuracy after convergence have been actively studied as research problems in PPP. However, most of these studies used archived correction data, and discussions on how correction data are obtained from satellite broadcasts in the actual environment are lacking owing to the low availability of low-cost GNSS receivers capable of receiving new signals. In this study, we evaluate the availability of correction data in an actual environment using the Pocket-SDR. Pocket-SDR is a GNSS-SDR receiver comprising a low-cost (a few hundred dollars) radiofrequency (RF) front-end and an attached open-source GNSS-SDR receiver that supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, NavIC, and SBAS. |
