A High-Level RF Compatibility Analysis for RNSS Signal Design

Abstract: This paper presents a high-level radio frequency (RF) compatibility analysis for Korea Positioning System (KPS) signal design. The employed methodology is a simulation-based sequential assessment method that includes analytical and numerical approaches, together. For this, a high-level RF compatibility assessment by using two kinds of simulation and hardware is presented. This method can overcome the limitations on the analytical approach where the ideal outcomes are different from actual results. The inclusion of the test by using the hardware components provides an opportunity to monitor the transmission and reception of the designed signals at the RF level, reflecting the actual RF front-end hardware impact.
