Review of the GPS IIIF Acquisition Process

Frank Czopek

Abstract: The GPS IIIF satellite acquisition process was unlike any other satellite acquisition in the history of the GPS program. It started out in frustration due to cost and schedule growth of the GPS III satellite program. In the end it evolved into most costliest GPS satellite award with a long schedule. The effects of this acquisition will have lasting impact over the decade.
