Abstract: BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) is one of the core GNSS providers and adheres to the "three-step" development plan to steadily promote construction. By the end of 2018, BDS had provided global services. By the end of 2019, the construction of the core constellation was completed. In 2020, the BDS will be fully completed and provide the world with open, free and high-quality navigation, position, timing services. It is also planned to build a more ubiquitous, integrated and intelligent national comprehensive PNT system with BeiDou as the core by 2035. This paper will introduce the update on BDS from three aspects: BDS construction, application and cooperation, and PNT system development.
