Estimation of Antenna Transfer Functions based on GNSS Observations

Abstract: This paper proposes a technique for the estimation of array antenna transfer functions in field measurements based on GNSS observations. This method extends previous array calibration methods, which only covered the center frequency for new wideband Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals. The technique is derived from the assumed system model and subsequently analyzed by simulations with respect to various receiver properties.
