Abstract: | MUSSST, Methodology for GNSS Validation for Safety Critical Transports, presents the basic concept of the MUSSST Study risk based approach for global navigation satellite system (GNSS) validation. It identifies the top level process system life cycle i.e. system lifecycle, safety demonstration and safety case development, independent safety assessment, safety approval. In addition to this methodology the project developed three manuals dedicated to each mode of transport (civil aviation, terrestrial, waterborne). Furthermore the MUSSST final report identifies the missing elements, obstacles to the operational approval and gives recommendations about them. |
