PTTI APPLICATIONS IN POWER UTILITIES
| Abstract: | Present and potential applications of PTTI in power utilities are described. The Hydro-Québec time dissemination system is presented and its characteristics are given. Current applications include power-frequency control systems, sequencial-events recording and phase-angle measurement. The paper presents the phase-angle measurement system and its importance as a monitoring device for an electric power utility and provides an example of recorded disturbance. |
