Abstract: | Atomic hydrogen masers of the classic active oscillator type which produce the characteristic high stability required by standards laboratories, radio astronomers and other critical scientific applications are described. Features of these masers include automatic cavity stabilization, active magnetic field cancellation servo, relatively small size and weight and other characteristics which adapt then well to use in remote field station operation and long term time and frequency related applications requiring the highest performance. |
