LORAN-C TIMING CALIBRATION OF CARIBOU

Abstract: Results of timing calibrations made during the summer of 1986 on the Caribou, ME. LORAN-C transmitter with a mobile vehicle equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS and LORAN-C receivers are presented. At 0000 July 24, 1986, UTC(USNO MC) - LORAN (Caribou, 9960) = -3.01 us 0.10 us, and UTC(USNO MC) - LORAN(Caribou, 5930)=-5.07 us +0.10 as.
