Abstract: Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers can be effectively identified using features computed from the receiver clock bias and clock drift. Clock time series however may not be available for all GNSS receivers. In such cases, receiver fingerprints cannot be determined using clockrelated features and other approaches must be used. This paper investigates the potential of clock-unrelated features for GNSS receiver fingerprinting. The features considered are obtained from the position and velocity solutions provided by the receiver when kept in a static location. It is shown that, although clock-unrelated features are less effective than their clock-based counterparts, they provide useful information on the receiver characteristics. For example, the experiments conducted demonstrate that the identification of the receiver manufacturer is, in general, possible. The most effective features are obtained when considering the up velocity component which leads to the most stable results with respect to environmental changes.
