Abstract: | With disruptive radio interference events on the rise, there is growing concern about the dependence of air-traffic services on satellite navigation. The methods in this paper address some of these concerns by presenting a new positioning method that that is robust to jamming and spoofing. The proposed solution is based on using array antennae, which can be used in estimating the direction of arrival of radio signal. The paper discusses the positioning algorithm and the expected navigation performance. The system is expected to provide sufficient accuracy to support RNP services over Europe. |
