Abstract: | It has been twenty years since the Global Positioning System (GPS) for the first time applied to civil aviation, the US, Europe and other countries have carried out a large number of researches about civil aviation technology on the basis of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). Nowadays, GNSS has applied to civil aviation widely and deeply. The Comprehensive evaluation of the BeiDou Satellite Navigation System (BDS) has to be realized before applying to civil aviation since the civil aviation is the most high-end user of GNSS. According to the current signal quality monitoring indicators, this thesis use the offline data analysis method to assess the quality of collected signal in several domains after capturing and tracking the satellite data through establishing a platform in MATLAB, which based on BeiDou signal modulation characteristics. To analyze the generation mechanisms and characteristics of BDS signal distortions, a relatively complete mathematical method is established through simulation and satellite data verification in MATLAB. The satellite data from Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO),Medium Earth Orbit (MEO),Inclined Geosynchronous Orbit (IGSO),which collected by large diameter parabolic antenna is assessed on the platform respectively. It is a huge project to apply to the civil aviation for BDS, and the internationalization of BeiDou standard is the way to realize its application to civil aviation. The extracted evaluating objects and the criteria in this article could be used as the judging basis and criterion for BDS signal quality monitoring. |
