Russian State Time and Frequency Standard Laboratory Activities and Updates

Abstract: This report presents two main aspects of the VNIIFTRI Department of Metrology for Time and Space functions. First changes in operational activity to maintain national time unit and time scale. Then main results of investigation and development program to improve frequency standard including new generation of H-masers, Rb fountain frequency standards, 87Sr neutral atoms in an optical lattice frequency standard, time and frequency transfer techniques based on different technologies such as TWSTFT, optical fiber, and laser ranging.
