Abstract: | The paper tracks the development of a GPS Common View time transfer system for use in a passive system monitoring aircraft height. The detailed calibration of the GPS receive-chain is described which is essential to achieve the system’s required accuracy of ~1ns synchronisation between sites. Preliminary results from the operational system are presented confirming that the GPS time transfer algorithms are behaving as expected. |
