Compact SSR Messages with Integrity Information for Satellite Based PPP-RTK Service

Rui Hirokawa, Yuki Sato, Seigo Fujita, Masakazu Miya

Abstract: In this work, Compact SSR, a bandwidth efficient StateSpace Representation (SSR) format with integrity information for satellite based PPP-RTK service in RTCM compatible proprietary format, is proposed. It includes local atmospheric corrections for faster convergence as well as conventional SSR corrections such as satellite orbit, clock and bias corrections. Multi GNSS and modern GNSS signals are effectively supported by introducing satellite mask. In typical multiGNSS PPP service scenario including 69 GNSS satellites, the required data rate of proposed format is about 71% less than that of RTCM-SSR which is existing internationally standardized format. The effectiveness is also confirmed in a nation-wide PPP-RTK scenario.
