Error Analysis for the Combination of Angular, Ranging, and Barometric Measurements

E. Nossek, O. Osechas, M. Meurer

Abstract: In environments with very few measurements (e.g. in Alternative Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) systems) it is necessary to use all present information. For Aviation different kinds of signals are present and discussed for APNT (e.g. DME, LDACS, ADS-B). If we include Angle measurements (either bearing angles or angle differences) and Altitude measurements then we can improve the availability and performance of an APNT system. We propose a snap shot based algorithm to pave the way for adding integrity on top.
