Abstract: | Zigbee indoor positioning method on the distance measurement technology is based on the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication), and has widely been used in the field of positioning and navigation. In this paper, the weighted nearest algorithm of RSSI-based localization algorithm for Zigbee fingerprint database has been investigated, and then a new weighted STD localization algorithm is proposed (STD short for standard deviation). The advantage of the new method is to record the standard deviation values of every fingerprint database grid point measurements for improving positioning accuracy. The method is compared with three traditional localization algorithms, nearest localization algorithm, weighted nearest neighbor algorithm, and Bayesian localization algorithm for verifying its advantage. An experiment has been conducted using Zigbee wireless network system, and the results showed that the positioning accuracy of Zigbee system has been improved, and the average error is 1.57 m. |
