Abstract:	Time and Frequency Metrology in Europe presents some peculiar features in its three main components: research on clocks, comparisons and dissemination methods, and dissemination services. Apart from the usual activities of the national metrological laboratories, and increasing number of cooperation between the European Countries are promoted inside some European Organizations, such as the ECC, EFTA, EUROMET, WECC, that will be dealt witH in what follows. The present, evolving situation will be further influenced by the recent political changes in Eastern Europe.
