Abstract: | The paper describes the process of upgrading an existing GPS processing system to include On-The-Fly RTK functionality. The approach taken was to port a renowned algorithm from existing software into the system with the aim of reusing as many as possible of the existing components and avoid development of the RTK specific algorithms. The process of implementing the RTK methods is discussed briefly before it goes more into depth on the short comings as they surface. Amendments to the methodology are proposed and lead to a modified ambiguity resolution approach. Finally some of the less expected problems which were encountered are commented. |
