Abstract: | There are three major elements in the construction of International Atomic Time (TAI): clocks, some means of comparing remote clocks, and a time-scale algorithm. The uncertainties of the time links used for TAI range from a few hundreds of picoseconds to a few tens of nanoseconds depending on the technique used. This paper provides a first rough estimation of the uncertainties of Type A and Type B in the time links used for TAI. |
