Description of a Wireless Integrated SmartServer™/Client System Architecture

Len Sheynblat, Norman Krasner

Abstract: SnapTrack has invented and developed a GPS-based technology, optimized for use in portable communications devices such as cellular telephones, that has vastly superior initial acquisition time, sensitivity and location accuracy to all known conventional GPS systems available in the marketplace. This paper outlines the fundamental reasons why the Wireless Integrated approach, which combines the sophisticated, memory intensive navigation algorithms performed in a SmartServer™ with the advanced measurement pre-processing techniques in the handset is the optimal location solution for portable consumer device applications.
