Abstract: | Code tracking error has a direct and crucial effect for Position, Velocity, Time (PVT) performance in GNSS, so it is very meaningful to give the estimation error lower bound. Owing to disadvantages about Cramer Rao Lower Bound (CRLB), such as sufficiently smooth signal waveform, unbiased estimator and high or moderate Carrier to Noise Ratio (CNR), this paper gives a lower bound based on Ziv-Zakai Bound (ZZB) which is expressed by signal’s normalized Power Spectrum Density (PSD), which is suitable for any shape. For new generation GNSS signals, Binary Offset Carrier (BOC), Multiplexed BOC (MBOC), Asymmetric Constant Envelop BOC (ACE-BOC) and Alternative BOC (AltBOC) signals, and traditional BPSK signals, the explicit ZZB expressions are respectively deprived and PSD expressions also given. Finally, the simulation experiments are carried out and the results show well conformity to the theoretical performance. |
