Abstract: | A modeling, simulation, and receiver study has been conducted to investigate GPS receiver performance in the presence of in-band faded interference. The paper starts with a model for faded interference, continues by examining the effects of faded interference on a software receiver, and concludes with experimental results from hardware receiver tests. Results indicate that the performance of some receiver capabilities may be worse with fading than without, even when the mean power level is equivalent. |
