Timing and Frequency Activities at the ONRJ

Abstract:	The National Observatory (ON) through the Time Service Division (DSHO) has been responsible for the generation and dissemination of the Brazilian legal time scale, UTC(ONRJ). Nowadays, maintains the Synchronism Network to the UTC(ONRJ) using NTP servers and offers certified time synchronism traceable to national standards for both business and the public agencies. Also, has the Certified Time Stamp Network that auditing and synchronizing to UTC(ONRJ) time stamps equipment of companies that render services of time stamp of documents in digital format. In this paper, we focus on the performance of the UTC(ONRJ) based upon data from Circular T and UTC rapid collected from January 02, 2015 to December 28, 2015. The Synchronism and Certified Time Stamp Networks are described and the status of these activities is report. In addition, this paper describes some of the changes in the time and frequency laboratory.
