Abstract: GNSS receivers take advantage from the software defined radio approach because they can use the intrinsic flexibility to evolve toward new satellite positioning systems and applications. For this type of implementation the use of embedded platforms is particularly interesting, due to the associated portability and low cost. This paper describes the porting of a software GNSS receiver designed for a PC on an ARM-based board, with emphasis on the adopted solutions and the effects on the achieved performance with respect to the implementation for PC.
