Abstract: | ERTMS, the most effective signalling and speed-control solution on the market being adopted on 39 countries with some 76000 km of lines and 9600 vehicles will adopt GNSS in its evolution path. Ansaldo STS has been pioneering the GNSS technologies with an ambitious program involving the major satellite stake-holders and rail operators. ERSAT represents a project of high strategic relevance, which merges the efforts of ERTMS and EGNSS (EGNOS-GALILEO) open to multiconstellations and local-wide augmentation networks. The presentation will address the challenges of high integrity GNSS requirements, results of early tests and a roadmap to a certifiable platform. |
