Abstract: | In Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) satellite navigation system, the receivers use spreading codes in the navigation signals to distinguish different satellites’ signals to navigate and position. With the development of the interoperability of different systems, the isolation of the interoperability signals depend on the spreading codes while they use the same modulation schemes?so improved methods for spreading codes’ design and optimization have important meaning for improving navigation system’s performance and different systems’ compatibility, and it is important for the construction of satellite navigation system. Firstly?this paper introduced the commonly used pseudo-random codes in satellite navigation system, such as m sequences, the Gold codes, the Weil sequences, and random codes, with their generation principle and construction methods involved. Then we compared their odd and even autocorrelation and cross-correlation, while the code length was set at 10230,5115 and 1023 ,after the correlation comparison, we analyzed their code family size, code length flexibility and implementation complexity, we found that the Weil codes got the highest score. At last we compared the codes used in GPS L1C signal which was constructed based on the Weil sequences with the chaos codes based on logistic map, chebyshev map and tent map, the results showed that the chaos codes take a little advantage, it means the chaos codes could be used in the modern satellite navigation system. |
