Future Civil Navigation Systems and Capabilities: A Technology and Applications Projection

Abstract:	This paper provides a projection of the principal navigation systems, including their capabilities and applications, which will be serving civil aviation users in the 2000-2010 time period and beyond. The work is based upon an assessment of technology developments and an appraisal of the various factors influencing the future retention, development, and implementation of navigation systems.
