GPS Application in Target Acquisition Systems

Abstract: Target acquisition systems require accurate present position and heading inputs to perform their function of determining target location and movement. This paper describes the application of a Global Positioning System (GPS) Manpacktvehicular receiver and an Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Computer in providing these inputs.
