Abstract: | Ultimate success for the supplier in any industry is determined by ability to meet the needs of the marketplace. Technical considerations of GPS have so dominated the thinking in the radionavigation community that we run a real danger of losing sight of the requirements of the commercial end user. We must to step back and look at user requirements and the size of the user market to come up with systems, products and services that meet market needs rather than the needs of the engineer. This paper explores the nature of the end user market for radionavigation equipment and services, what markets are being served adequately by existing navigation aids, and what users really want really want out of the radionavigation equipment they purchase. |
