Real Time GPS Navigation State Bias Error Covariance Estimation

Keith J. Brodie

Abstract: Several algorithms for the real time estimation of the user state error covariance due to satellite state model errors are presented. A new algorithm developed for the Trident instrumentation integrated GPS-strapdown inertial navigator is evaluated in comparison to two others. Use of the resulting navigation state error estimates for control of alternate measurement calibration in this navigator is shown.
