Abstract: Vehicle manufacturers world wide are actively working on plans for in-vehicle systems GUIDANCE providing navigation guidance services to Providing driver directions to the drivers. Successful deployment of this sort of navigation system depends crucially on the POSITIONING availability of electronic street maps for use Tracking vehicle progress while travelling and detecting driving in route planning, tracking and direction errors giving. This paper discusses the requirements and structure of the North American navigable database and the tools and techniques for its construction.
