Real Time Differential GPS and Postprocessed Accurate Trajectories Recovery. an Update of Methods and Results.

Georges Nard, Joseph Broustal, Rene Gounon

Abstract: SERCEL development programs have been involving for years GPS equipment, methods and experiments related to real time differential GPS and accurate recovery of trajectories of airplane, ships and land vehicles. New methods and equipments have been tested and reported for one year by several national and foreign authorities leading to a good degree of confidence. This includes particularly airborne photogrammetry. hydrography and very efficient land survey operations. Today efficient real time Differential GPS operations are conducted using with success the combination of Block 1 and 2 satellites reaching 1 meter RMS accuracy at long distance even when using satellites degraded by S.A. Particularities of methods and parameters used are depicted together with proven results.
